Peterborough Film Society

The Peterborough Arts Cinema is an independent cinema dedicated to bringing non-mainstream films to film lovers in Peterborough. It is run by a committed group of volunteers on a non-profit making basis. The cinema started out as the Peterborough Film Society in April 1947 with a presentation of "Man of Aran", a 1934 fictional documentary about life on the Aran islands of Ireland, written and directed by Robert J. Flaherty.

We welcome volunteers to join the committee and contribute to the work of the arts cinema.
