An extraordinary piece of art celebrating the history and wildlife of the River Nene.
Mapestry is a series of 12 textile panels illustrating the River Nene and its wildlife, history and culture. It was commissioned by Froglife – a national wildlife charity committed to the conservation of amphibians and reptiles – with professional textile artist Liliane Taylor and local communities working together to create the tapestry. Now that Mapestry is complete, it is being displayed in locations along the river, including our Visitor Centre.
10.00am to 5.00pm – Monday to Saturday.
11.00am to 4.00pm on Sunday.
