About Us:

I am exceptionally proud to be the principal of the Bishop Creighton Academy. We are a rapidly improving academy. We have made significant improvements to our academy in recent years; our dedicated team of staff and the wider trust have one end goal – to enable every child in our academy to be the best that they can be.

We hope to develop independent and successful learners who are confident and eager to come to school each day. Our aim is to ensure that every child will leave the Bishop Creighton Academy with the skills, knowledge and confidence to succeed in the next steps in their education and future lives.

Whilst we acknowledge the crucial role that schools play in a child’s development we believe that the most important teachers in a child’s life are their parents, as such strong partnerships with home and the academy are crucial. We aim to work with you to support your child throughout their time with us.

We also believe that education is about more than just academic success and, as such, aim to develop the whole child by providing a broad and balanced curriculum and wide range of experiences and enrichment activities throughout the year.

The academy is sponsored by the Greenwood Academies Trust which was formed in 2009 and now educates approximately 16,000 pupils across eight local authority areas including Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire, Derby City, Leicester City, Northamptonshire, Peterborough, Lincolnshire and Central Bedfordshire.  To find out more about the Trust click here.
