The Peterborough Paediatric Physiotherapy Service provides specialist needs led paediatric physiotherapy for children and young people (from birth to 18 years old, or 19 years if in a special educational setting) presenting with general developmental delay, movement disorder or disability due to any diagnosis or illness for which physiotherapy intervention is indicated

Description

The service produces an assessment report which is shared with the service user. The service user and their parents/carers are involced in planning agreed goals.

Parent training workshops are provided for children identified with Sensory processing disorders.

Adapted communication styles will be used for children and young people with special educational needs.

The service uses an interpreting serviceif English is not the first language.

The service gains the views of service users by use of the patient experience survey.

Evaluation forms are used for service user feedback following the Parent workshops.
