All councils with social services responsibilities are required to undertake an annual survey of service users and a biennial survey of carers.  On this page you can find links to the latest national and local results.

Adult Social Care Customer Survey

Annual surveys

Each local authority with responsibility for providing adult social care services is required to conduct an annual survey of their service users.

You can find out more on our Customer Survey 2023 page.

Annual Survey of Carers

National survey

Every two years the Department of Health produces a national survey called ‘Caring for Others’ for Adult Social Care departments to send to people who are caring for someone who uses social care support services. You can read about the results of the Autumn 2021 survey on our Survey of Adult Carers 2021 webpage

You can also view the national report on the NHS Digital website.
