Drugs and alcohol

Some people with learning disabilities drink alcohol or take drugs to help them cope when things are difficult.  They might have been abused.  They might be lonely or sad.  Some people might start to do this too much.  They might need support to stop them using drugs or alcohol.   You can click on the green words to find out more information.

If you think this is you, the best thing to do is talk to your doctor.  Here is a link to some guidance from the NHS.

You can find lots of useful videos about drugs on the Cambridgeshire Child and Adolescent Substance Use Service Youtube channel CASUS Youtube channel.

Information on drugs can be found on the FRANK website.
