Peterborough Cycling Club

The Peterborough Cycling Club is the oldest continuously active cycling club in the country. Although other clubs claim to have been founded at an earlier date, the Peterborough is, to the best of our knowledge, the only one that has not ceased to exist at some point and then been reformed. Although the club badge shows 1874, latest research into the clubs history, has shown that it was actually founded in 1873.

All year round there is a traditional Sunday morning club run, for all abilities, that meets at Cathedral Square in Peterborough at 9.00, just as it did in the 1800's and a training ride that leaves from opposite Terry Wright Cycles, in Deeping St James at 9.30, just as it has done for over 20 years! In late 2009, a further run was established, leaving Orton Mere at 0730 on Saturday mornings;
