Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice’s virtual day services programme offers specialist support for people with neurological conditions like MS, MND, Parkinson's, Huntington's, dementia and following strokes.
The service helps keep you safe and independent at home while giving you the opportunity to socialise and boost your wellbeing.
Following an eight week programme, you’ll have the choice of attending a number of virtual sessions offering social, therapeutic, recreational and rehabilitative activities and support.
You'll have access to Sue Ryder experts specialising in holistic care and are given the chance to join in exercise, complementary therapy and relaxation sessions and enjoy opportunities to socialise and take part interactive activities such as quizzes, art and poetry and listen to guest speakers.
You can book a maximum of five hour-long virtual sessions of your choice each week, which best meet their individual needs.
Throughout the virtual programme you’ll be supported by Sue Ryder Nurses, complementary therapists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
The cost of the virtual service is £35 each week for the duration of the eight week programme. People can use their personal care budgets towards this cost should they wish.
