I am a childminder in Woodston, I believe in attachment parenting and follow forest school ethos. I have over 10 years experience of working with children and have worked with children with special educational needs.

 We go on outings daily these include regular groups on a Monday we go to Monday funplay at Blesize community centre, Tuesday is rhyme time at the library and every other week we go to a home for the elderly for story, tea and cake. Wednesdays we go to a play group at the church on London Road. Thursday I co-run a nature playgroup at the Green back yard and Fridays we go to baby disco at Belsize community centre. These can change depending on the children’s needs on the day. The first Thursday of each month we go to a classical concert for children at St Johns church.

After the groups we tend to head home for lunch or if the weather is nice the park and a picnic, I also have an allotment where the children can be involved in learning about growing fruit and vegetables and helping from planting seeds, watering, weeding, picking and eating. At the allotment there is also our own private park. In the afternoons we do a range of activities depending on the weather could be arts and crafts, cooking or free play or trips to places such as soft play, trampoline parks, museums. If the weather is nice we tend to be outside either on walks, adventure farms, zoos or just playing in the garden, parks or allotments.

I have a daughter of my own at home and a spaniel dog called Pepper. I asked that parents provide a packed lunch as we are out and about quite a lot so not necessarily at home to do a lunch.
