East Timor Association of Peterborough
East Timorese Association of Peterborough aims to support local people, from the East Timorese community in Peterborough, to develop supportive and strong relationships and help them to overcome their isolation from each other and not be so lonely. We are a non-profit making community association with our mission to tackle social isolation and encourage community integration.

We are now delivering a project, which builds connections between people called the Timor Club. The Timor Club is currently held monthly for two hours, and it helps to reduce loneliness amongst many people from the Timorese community living in Peterborough. The Club has been going for two year, and caters for all ages – young people up to those in the 40s and 50s. On average 80-85 people come to the monthly club with additional social activities (drop-in, conversations, table tennis, dancing) and promote it much better to attract those that are lonely and socially isolated from all sections of the community.
