City College Peterborough Supported Employment

Supported employment is for adults aged 18 to 65 with learning disabilities in Peterborough, who are assisted to look for appropriate work placements.

Referrals are assessed by a Job Coach to find out what sort of work the person is looking for and the team will help look for a suitable job.

This may be at the Industrial Hub in the Work Skills Development team, at one of the mini enterprises that Day Opportunities help to run, or at a business in Peterborough.

Wherever the placement is, the Job Coach will support the person with any interviews, initial visit to the placement, sorting out the task list, and learning to use the bus to get to and from work. The Job Coach will provide support and monitor the placement to ensure the individual is able to develop in the job
