St Johns C of E School
-
Welcome to St Johns Church School, I hope that our website gives you a glimpse into the exciting journey of learning that we all undertake each and every day.
We are a place of distinctive excellence, where we value all in our community as individuals and God’s children.
It is a rare privilege to educate your children and one that we take very seriously, uncovering and nurturing the talents of your children is both a passion and a vocation.
Our school is an exciting and vibrant place to belong and grow. Our staff are dynamic and innovative, they think very carefully about the building blocks to successful learning and design learning experiences that focus on individual pupils and their needs.
We are all unique and yet we share the same goal, parent, teacher, lunchtime supervisor and cleaner, we want your child to be part of the community, add to it, make a difference to it and make life better for all around them.
To do this we aim to foster confidence, perseverance, tolerance and integrity; to enhance communication skills; to embrace creativity; to encourage teamwork; and to promote an open-minded and outward-looking mentality.
We want our children to use all they have learnt academically, spiritually and morally and make us all proud.

SEND
- Description
At St John’s Church School, we pride ourselves on inclusive and personalised education for all children, with a supportive team in place. Our SEND team work together with the class teachers to organise effective teaching and learning for the children who have specific educational needs and/or disabilities. St John’s Church School shows its commitment to providing an appropriate curriculum for children with special needs by employing a Teaching Assistant in every class.
The school supports the LEA’s policy that, wherever possible, children with special educational needs should be integrated into school. The school building has a number of facilities for children with physical disabilities: corridor doors are wide enough for wheelchairs, there is a disabled toilet by the school office and we have a lift for access to the first floor.
