17th Nene (The Hamptons) Scout Group
The 17th Nene (The Hamptons) Scout Group, founded in 2002, is here to provide Scouting to young people in Hampton Hargate, Hampton Centre and Hampton Vale in Peterborough.
It is a vibrant Group of some 75 - 90 young people aged 6 to 14, across three Sections: Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts and Scouts.
The Group runs a very full and active programme for all Sections based around traditional Scouting activities:
- Hiking
- Camping
- Fire-lighting
- Cooking
- Climbing
- Pioneering
The young people begin to learn Scouting skills at an early age, building on these skills as they participate in camps and activities under the close supervision of the Section Leaders.
