There is a well-used village hall and community centre, library and a large number of vibrant and successful community groups.

The parish consists of two areas, Eye and Eye Green, and boasts two wildlife sites which were previously used for clay extraction for brick manufacture, one of them Star Pit is a site of specific scientific interest due to its unique habitat that supports rare invertebrates.

The parish office is usually open on Wednesday and Friday mornings and there is a 24-hour answer phone, calls will be returned as soon as possible. Personal visits to the office are welcome.
