May I start by saying thank you for choosing the Newark Hill Academy for your child. I am enormously proud to be the Principal of the Newark Hill Academy as it is a great place to be. In my role as Principal I will strive to create the outstanding Academy that this local community deserves.
All parents want their child to be contented and have the best possible start to their education and it is our priority to ensure that they fulfil their goals and successes. As a dedicated team, we work closely together to create a caring and supportive learning environment where all our pupils feel secure, safe and happy whilst ensuring everyone achieves their full potential.
Pupils and staff will see a lot of me during the Academy day. The Leadership Team and I spend a great deal of time around the Academy, visiting lessons and supporting staff to ensure that basic standards are being met and the quality of teaching and learning is consistently high.
Our Academy is an exciting place to come to as we provide an exciting curriculum with many extra-curricular activities, including trips and residentials.

All of the Teaching Assistants support children within classes, as well as specialising in an area of the curriculum, whether it be because of a love for that subject or because they haev received extra training to support in that area. the Teaching Assistants who work within our KS1 area also deliver small group phonics lessons in the morning, alongside sound work support interventions in the afternoon.
