Ambitions Day Opportunities is aimed at young people with learning disabilities aged 16 and over. We have our own base in the grounds of Stamford College. Ambitions can offer day provision on a young person’s day off from college and or during half terms and summer holiday periods. In addition to this we offer a positive progression for when your young people complete their education.
Activities and Facilities.
Ambitions is delivered from a designated self-contained area in the grounds of Stamford College. We have a fully accessible kitchen, large day room and an enterprise/art and craft room, in addition to this we have our own self-contained garden. Ambitions has use of a mini bus for local trips and days out further afield.
Wherever possible, we support people to participate in ordinary community activities in ordinary places whilst meeting the needs of the individual to do so.
Ambitions is a client led activity-based provision, promoting choice and independence. Our belief is that all people have contributions to make in society and accessing services in their local communities can raise their profile for better community inclusion.

Events and Fundraising
Ambitions run fundraising events throughout the year and love to host to their friends and family. Service users are involved with our fundraising through raffles, holding afternoon teas and taking part in sponsored activities. We also like to support local charities to give something back to the community.
Community Inclusion
Ambitions service users like to get out and about and have fun with their friends. Their favourite activities are theme parks, bowling, farms, museums, sports and having a game of pool at the pub.
Sports and Activities
Ambitions attends local inclusive sports groups for Boccia, adapted cycling, sailing and boxing. We encourage fitness through walking and group games as well as outdoor sports during the summer.
