Linkage College

Linkage offers a daytime and residential timetable in a safe and supportive environment for young people aged 16-25 who have learning difficulties or disabilities. Study programmes are available 3 - 5 days per week, from 9am to 4pm according to individual need and are based around independence or employability. English, Maths and ICT are embedded across the whole of the curriculum offer, with the opportunity to take formal qualifications. Real work environments and social enterprises give students the opportunity to develop employability and functional skills making them more employable and independent.  Our experienced team co-ordinate and manage internal work placements and external work experience opportunities for our students, helping to them to progress onto Supported Internships, Traineeships, Apprenticeships, supported and paid employment. We enable students to discover new experiences such as creative and performing arts, sports, therapies, health and wellbeing, 'immersive' technology and opportunities to engage with community activities and events. We also offer a specialist residential service for young people with high needs autistic spectrum conditions in the form of STAR houses (Specialist Transitionary Autism Resource), offering a stepping stone into the wider environment of college and community.
