Our group offers a programme of walks throughout the year. Walks are held not only in Peterborough but also in the surrounding counties of Rutland, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and occasionally further afield to the Norfolk Coast. New walkers are always welcome on any of our walks.
About our walks
Sunday Walkers: We meet every two weeks on Sundays throughout the year for circular walks between 8 and 12 miles. Bring along a packed lunch and a drink.
Bus Walks: Taking the bus means we don’t have to return to a car – we offer a few circular walks, but linear walks are our speciality. When we set out and return on the same bus service you can also join us using the car, taking a short ride on the bus, before or after the walk... ask the leader. You can join and leave the bus out of town, at one of its en route stops.
Travelling out and back together is always fun, part of the experience. We also like to pause during the walk to admire some historic building, a great view, or interesting wildlife. We normally carry a light lunch for a picnic out in the wild, or near a village church or pub. Walks normally end at a pub or cafe. Families are welcome.
Thursday Walkers: Our aim is to offer a programme of weekly circular walks of around 5 miles. We enjoy 'leisurely' walks, but they are more demanding than mere ambles, so a certain level of fitness is required. We start our walks promptly at the published time. Please park sensibly in and around the villages.

Note: Please contact the walk leader (name and telephone number is given with the details of the walk) if you have any questions. If people are given a lift to the start of a walk could they please make an appropriate voluntary contribution to the driver.
Non-members are welcome to join us but if they wish to continue to walk with us they will be expected to join the Ramblers after 2 or 3 walks.
