We are an independent specialist college operating in the East Midlands and the East of England. Our nearest location is Sense College Centre Peterborough. Our philosophy is that we always put the individual first. We support and work with each learner so that they can grow in confidence, develop independence skills and have opportunities for personal fulfilment and aims to inspire each individual’s capacity to learn and develop their potential. Our specialist curriculum enables all students to make significant progress towards the life goals they have chosen and each achievement is fully recognised, embraced and celebrated. With professionally qualified specialist education staff and high quality multi-sensory facilities. Our Ofsted rating in February 2023 was Good.

Sense College East is part of the wider organisation Sense (www.sense.org.uk).
Sense College East provides education programmes for students aged 16 to 25 years of age with complex disabilities, who have an active Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and who have one or more of the following:
- A moderate to complex learning disability
- A requirement for specialist communication support
- Vision impairment, hearing impairment, or combined vision & hearing impairment
- Autism or Asperger Syndrome
Sense College East offers three education pathways, delivered during our academic years from September to July:
- Learning For Life
- Foundation Learning
- Employability
We offer:
- Highly personalised and progression focused learning programmes
- Ongoing support with vocational and independent living life skills
- Courses linked to external accreditation, leading to nationally recognised qualifications
- Learning through meaningful, realistic and practical activities
- Programmes and strategies designed to assist learners to cope and become more confident in social situations
- Specialist sensory and communication assessment and support
- An extensive programme of social, leisure and sporting activities within the local community
