Acorn provides unique residential care provisions for young people through individualised sports and activity programmes. DFE education and therapy services work as a combined approach to meet the needs of young people in our care.
Who to contact
Acorn specialises in working with young people with challenging behaviour and a range of associated needs and risks including exploitation, mental health issues, gang affected, absconders and other behaviours and issues. We are recognised for our stance again criminalisation of young people wherever possible. This is supported by our network of professionals, and staff, following restorative justice principals.
Our provision is innovative in its approaches to working with young people in care, through supporting research with Kent University and the development of specialist toolkits and assessments for exploitation, radicalisation, absconding and trafficking.
