We specialise in Maths and Science and we use these subjects to raise standards across the curriculum. We have made fair banding work and so we can guarantee to the people of Peterborough that we have a truly comprehensive intake.
We are a training school and take very seriously our role in developing both current and future teachers and leaders. Finally we are a school with outstanding safeguarding, where children can enjoy coming to get on with their learning.
We work with Peterborough Regional College and the University Centre as well as quality Universities up and down the land to ensure that our Careers Education and Guidance really does get all our students onto the right programme when they leave us after Y11, 12 or 13.
Our sponsors, Perkins Engines and the Deacon’s School Trust work with us to ensure that the education here at Thomas Deacon is as good as it is distinctive.
