Outdoor adventurous activities

From our base at Nene Outdoors Watersports and Outdoor Activity Centre in Peterborough, we offer a safe and fun environment to encourage outdoor learning activities away from the classroom whilst focusing on specific curriculum subjects and developing interpersonal skills.

The variety of land and water-based adventure activities we have to offer can facilitate your young people’s education and development. Our experienced staff will work with you to identify your learning outcomes, then advise on selecting a range of adventure educational activities to meet your specific learning objectives and the needs of your pupils.

On the day, your objectives will be agreed and set as a group and then reviewed throughout the activities to ensure you get the most from your time with us. Prices vary with group size, but are based on an average of £16 per head for 3 hours of activity. A minimum booking of 12 people applies.

Nene Park Trust holds the LoTC quality badge accreditation awarded by the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom, which means our education provision has passed a robust assessment designed to ensure we meet schools’ learning and risk management needs. 

In February 2020, Nene Outdoors was awarded the Adventure Mark for our adventurous activity provision. This demonstrates that our outdoor adventure activities have been inspected and found to meet the necessary standards of good practice in the adventure activity industry.

We work with schools in Peterborough, throughout Cambridgeshire and the wider region to provide fun, safe, and inclusive outdoor learning activities for all ages including adventure educational activities, cooperative learning, watersports, and more.
