St Michaels C of E (VA) School

Our Story

In September 2012, after several years of planning and a lot of hard work from a small and dedicated team, St. Michael's Church School opened its doors for the first time.  On day one, we successfully welcomed 14 children into two new classes: Reception and a mixed Year 1/2 class.  Since then, our school has grown from strength to strength and now supports, nurtures and challenges over 300 children every day across 10 classes from Reception to Year 6.

Ethos & Values

At St. Michael's, we aim to serve our rapidly developing community by providing a full and rounded education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. We strive to encourage an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promote the key Christian values including mutual respect for all.  Read more about our core values below.

The Future

Our future is defintely bright!  In February 2017, we took possession of the second phase of our building project enabling us to grow to an eventual 14 classes: 2 per year group.  This has given us the physical capacity to expand the range of services and provisions we can offer our school and local community.  We have our sights firmly set on excellence, pushing boundaries and giving all of our children the very best life experiences possible.
