The Macular Disease Society - has two self help support groups in Peterborough reflecting the different circumstances of those with impaired central vision. Both groups serve to provide information on a wide range of related topics. Not being a member of the MDS is not a barrier to joining a group. Carers and partners are always welcome.
Seniors MD Group - A group for people experiencing visual impairment later in life. Meetings are a chance to socialise with others facing similar challenges and usually listen to a speaker on a relevant subject.
Working at Macular Group - Not just for those in work but for all who don't fit in the seniors category. Meetings are very informal and are a chance for lively discussion, not always confined to sight related matters.
Seniors MD Group - Group meets on the last Tuesday of every other month at 10.00am - 12.00noon in the Central Library.
Working at Macular Group - Group meets four times a year on a Saturday lunchtime in a Peterborough hotel or pub.
