Braybrook Primary School opened in September 1978. Although the building was originally open-plan in design, all classrooms have been adapted to provide separate classrooms.

Currently we are a single form entry school with 7 classes. In addition to the classrooms, we have an ICT suite, small group room and a large activity room for dance, drama and music activities.

Braybrook Primary School is a small community primary school situated on the south side of the city, which serves the community in and around Orton Goldhay. Following recent growth and expansion, the school now has 9 classes, who come together as our 'Braybrook Family', led by a friendly, supportive and dynamic team of adult 'leading learners'.

In admitting pupils with special educational needs, we would expect to have informative discussions with both the pupil's family and the local authority to ascertain the suitability of our provision. We understand that it is initally our responsibility to make provision for a pupil with special educational needs and the process of applying for High Needs Funding if necessary. As a mainstream school, it would clearly be difficuly for us to make provision for pupils whose needs and / or demands are significant, severe or profound however, we would make careful assessment of the needs of each pupil in positive discussion with other organisations.
