
QUEEN’S DRIVE INFANT SCHOOL

Queen’s Drive is a popular and successful school for children from 4 to 7 years old. It serves a catchment area to the north of Peterborough City Centre and currently has about 270 pupils from a wide range of communities.

KS1
The school days starts at 9.00am until 12.00pm with a morning break.
The afternoon session runs from 1pm until 3.15pm with a further break as needed.
Foundation Stage
Children can come into school from 8.45am and have lunch at 11.45am.
The afternoon session is from 12.45 until 3.15pm. Children have opportunities for outdoor play during the day.
Classes
There are 9 classes at Queens Drive Infant School, 3 in each year.
Parents are always welcome to talk to school staff in the morning about any issues or queries or can arrange a time after school.
Collective worship
Our weekly assembly programme starts with Headteacher assembly on Monday, year group assemblies on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and Celebration assembly on Friday.

At Queens Drive Infants all our pupils’ are entitled to Quality First Teaching. In some cases arrangements are made for ’additional and different’ support to be put in place. This support is monitored and co-ordinated by the Special Needs and Disability Co-ordinator. We currently support children with needs including Hearing impairment, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Mobility difficulties, Downs Syndrome and Speech and Language difficulties.
