School Nursing supports the safeguarding of children alongside other professionals
We run weekly Healthy Young People Advice Clinics (HYPAs) in schools alongside sexual health services and youth locality teams. The aim of these clinics is to provide positive health promotion and signpost young people to appropriate services.
School Nurses also run regular nocturnal enuresis clinics and offer support to parents and school aged children around managing this.
Additionally we provide ongoing support alongside other professionals/services where there are identified complex health needs. This can include completing care plans for children who have emergency medical needs in school.
