Why register?
By law we have to keep a register of children with disabilities living in Peterborough. The register helps us plan services for children with disabilities. The Families Information Service maintains the voluntary Disability Register for Peterborough.
The register helps us to plan future services.
You don't have to register your child with us if you don't want to.
Who can go on the register?
The definition of disability is taken from the Equalities Act 2010 and can include:
- autism/Asperger's Syndrome
- ADHD
- cerebral palsy
- dyspraxia
- sensory impairment
- mobility problems
- learning disability
- medical conditions
- terminal illness
We automatically remove your child's details once they reach 25 years old. If you want to be removed earlier than this please contact the Families Information Service.
