Helping disabled children and adults, as well as carers, to enjoy a much needed holiday

3H is a charity which was founded over 35 years ago to enable those less fortunate to have a memorable and fulfilling holiday.

3H have built an enviable reputation over many years for providing subsidised group holidays at well researched venues for the physically disabled and respite for their carers.

Where many may think it is just not possible to get away, 3H have a wealth of experience in making it happen, from organising accommodation, transport, activities and, most importantly, care.

Each holiday has two experienced leaders and care is provided by volunteer helpers.

There is always either a doctor/nurse or access to local medical facilities.

With the valued help of grant-giving trusts, businesses and individuals, we are able to subsidise a range of holidays to enable over 600 people each year to get away.

Every year, 3H runs a programme of offering grants to assist physically or mentally disabled people and their families, and carers, on low income, to organise a modest holiday for themselves.

The grants are given for the accommodation part of the holiday, which must be taken in the UK.

We liaise with social workers and other caring organisations to assist applicants and, where possible, to identify those needing assistance.

Most funding is for individuals and their families – however, a few larger grants may be awarded to groups organising holidays for their disabled members or carers.
