If you’re struggling to make ends meet, our cost of living Here to Help Support Hubs can help you to find a solution to your problems.
Light Project Peterborough started its journey in 2009 and one of its main projects is The Garden House. This is the first step for anyone who is sleeping on the streets in Peterborough and needing support. People sleeping rough can come to The Garden House for food and drink, information and advice, as well as access to a wide range of support services.
The charity has linked up with service providers including Peterborough City Council housing officers, GPs, employment agencies, alcohol and drugs support specialists, mental health teams, Police, hairdressers, chiropodists, and arts therapists.
People sleeping rough can come to The Garden House between 10am-12:30pm and 1:30pm-4pm every weekday (closed on Wednesday afternoons) and Satuday and Sunday mornings 10am-12:30pm.
